Titanic
Corset and Harem Pant Ensemble
I created an edwardian corset and ensemble for Cordoza in Emerson's production of Titanic in Spring, 2017. The Corset started with a mock up from an existing pattern, and then it was fitted to the actress and altered accordingly. The ensemble was partly from patterns and partly from drafting. The cutter/draper did the drafting, and I put the piece together from top to bottom including hand-tacking the beaded applique to the base fabric on the bodice and sleeves.
Ballgown
Chesire Cat Inspired Ballgown (WIP)
This gown was inspired by an end of year celebration within my Major at school. The party was themed as "Down the Rabbit Hole", so I took my favorite Alice in Wonderland character and designed this dress. This dress remains a work in progress.
Pride And Prejudice
Regency Evening Gown
This semester's big show was Pride and Prejudice. I worked as the First Hand in the Costume Shop, as well as the Costume Design Assistant. Because Our cutter/draper had to go on leave for this semester, I ended up draping this entire piece myself. I did get some guidance from others in the shop, but otherwise this is entirely my own work. The dress was for Caroline Bingley. I also worked on a corset for Mrs. Bennett.
Ensemble
1920s Ensemble
This is a project that I began as a personal challenge. I conducted a lot of research into the clothing of the Roaring Twenties and began to construct a concept. The character that this is for is sweet, kind, and very into the natural world. I tried to marry the more Art Nouveau printed fabric, with a more Art Deco construction style. This is an ongoing project in order to build a wardrobe for this character.
